Brief Profile

The Menomini, also spelled Menominee, are a Native American people group who predominantly reside in Wisconsin on the Menominee Reservation. The Reservation is located approximately 45 miles northwest of Green Bay, Wisconsin with its headquarters in the village of Keshena.

The Reservation includes 5 main communities: Keshena, Neopit, Middle Village, Zoar, and South Branch.

Approximately one half of the tribal membership does not reside on the Reservation. Instead, due to the scarcity of job opportunities on the Reservation, they have relocated to other areas.

The majority of Menomini are Roman Catholics with Roman Catholic Churches in all the villages, except for one Presbyterian Church in Zoar.

For more information, see The Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin website.

Prayer Points

  • Pray that Menomini will find God's grace as something that one does not earn through good works but comes via the free gift of Jesus Christ.
  • Pray Christians will share the Gospel both in word and deed with the Menomini.
  • Pray Menomini Christians will have passion and boldness to share the message of Christ.
